"My wife and I have owned a cottage on Salmon Trout Lake for over forty years. When the cottage was built, it was supported on concrete blocks resting on concrete pads. During the years, we struggled to keep the building level because the supports were moved by the frost. In 2009, we contacted John Parlette concerning the problem, and, after examining the site, suggested digging down to hard pan, and installing some new beams and concrete posts. The cottage survived the first winter with minimal movement and we were very satisfied with the way the work area looked after the project was completed. "John Parlette was involved with the entire project from start to finish including the final design of the structure.   He pointed out potential problems from a rough drawing we created prior to architectural drawings being completed.  A cathedral ceiling and corner whirlpool bath were added on as a suggestion from John.   The house is two stories, 2560 sq. ft. with two tempered glass decks to allow for the lake view. It was completed in 2003 well ahead of schedule and prior to the permits expiring.   We love our home and property and are very happy with the construction John and his crew provided.   This home was built to last a lifetime and includes an extra wide staircase to allow for a chair lift if need be in later years.  Thanks again John."
